Become a friend of EPW
We’re aiming to find 500 people who would be willing to donate £500 – either as a single donation or over a period of time – providing a crucial foundation for the ongoing work of the charity.
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 15 v6, and in memory of our former Chairman Jeremy Marshall’s faithful witness over so many years, we are seeking 500 brothers and sisters to become ‘Friends of EPW’, building on his legacy of training and resourcing pastors in the majority world through the work of EPW.
Jeremy’s Legacy
As Chairman of EPW, Jeremy Marshall was a huge inspiration to all those connected with the charity’s ministry. Despite his ongoing battle with cancer, he worked tirelessly to encourage the strategic shift to scale-up and empower trusted partners overseas, and his vision and guiding hand played a key role in making EPW what it is today.
1 Corinthians 15 was one of Jeremy’s favourite passages, included as part of his thanksgiving service and providing the inspiration for our “500 Friends” appeal. In verse 6, Paul states that, after his resurrection, Jesus “appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time” – something he saw as compelling evidence to encourage the Corinthians to trust God’s promise of salvation. Those 500 were a crucial foundation for the church and we hope that our 500 Friends will be a similarly crucial foundation for the ongoing ministry of EPW.
