FUNDRAISING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
(Paid)
An exciting opportunity to join a small team raising funds and generating awareness of pastors in the majority world in need of crucial training and resources.
Equipping Pastors Worldwide (EPW) was born from the merger of two charities in early 2023, Pastor Training International and Christian Books Worldwide. Over the past 15 years, these charities have been privileged to serve thousands of pastors in regions where the church has grown hugely but where church leaders are under-resourced and good bible-teaching scarce.
EPW is looking to appoint someone who will support the Director of EPW with a particular focus on Trusts & Foundations and associated communications; helping identify funding prospects, drafting grant applications, writing reports and producing content for EPW’s social media channels. It is hoped the post-holder will bring their own initiative and ideas to raise EPW’s profile.
The position is a part-time (2½ days a week) paid role for which prior experience of the charity sector is not essential.
Candidates should have:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write persuasively
- Excellent interpersonal skills; in person, on the phone and in writing
- Highly organised with an eye for detail, and able to self-manage
- Initiative to generate, research and develop new ideas for communication

The role will include preparing papers for trustee meetings, drafting minutes, monitoring resulting actions, organising the review of policies and procedures, submitting documentation to statutory authorities and overseeing EPW’s risk register.
The role does not require prior experience but will give you the opportunity to develop key skills in the charity sector as you grow with us.
Candidates should have:
- An eye for detail, highly organised and able to prioritise effectively
- Team player with self-awareness and flexibility
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
